the shit factory

since my last post. my blog posted a comment to itself yelling at me about the neglect, telling me how the basement has taken me away…

well i’m here to tell you… there’s something else. the afterbasement. the basement is almost done actually, i have a few hooks to hang in the bathroom, I have to fill in the giant holes around a couple of outlets (what was I thinking?), I have to hang light fixtures in the green room, and figure out just where I’m going to put the drums (yes, drums. I got a drum set!!!)

i suppose I should post some pictures, but I stopped taking progress pictures a while ago (the progress was too painfully slow) so I think I’ll wait til the lights are up…

just got back from new orleans. shana, the saint, is coming back today, after working her ass off for common ground for 4 days. I was supposed to help for 1 day when i was there, but we missed the parades on saturday (sitting in a bar at noon will do that) and everyone else wanted to go to parades sunday, and well, if you had a choice between gutting a house or standing on the side of the road while people in strange costumes on giant crazy floats pulled by tractors throw beads at you… yeah I thought so.

well, that’s it. see you in 4 months

well, 6 days since I worked for the man. this physical labor stuff is tiring.. i can’t wait to sit behind a desk all day again. hopefully my bathroom will be done in time. more pictures here.

oh, and I’m sick of being dirty. I want to be clean again.

wow. almost 2 months since I’ve posted. I’ve made more basement (see previous link, i need to upload more photos) and I got a new job. I have next week off to finish the basement before starting said job. I don’t know what I’m more excited about.

the one thing I will not be doing is smearing my current co-workers/supervisors on my blog a-la “i hate it i hate it i hate it”

I don’t like shoes. and it seems I’m not alone. wonder what would happen if i started walking around work barefoot…

so they took the whole tech group to ESPNzone… some fun video games, and free booze, but still. not a single front end powerbook winner… lame.

ok, so it seems that with every flash project i do, at some point, i compile the swf, it works as expected, then i save it and come back to the .fla later and i’ve lost some changes. i swear that i’m just like jesus in that i save, but i seem to keep losing changes…

anyway, i think that there’s a ghost in my computer. john thinks my house is haunted, but i think it’s just inside my pc. why else would it just reboot every once in a while for no reason…

i know this is nonsense, but i noticed today that i’ve neglected the shit factory for almost a month. i need some sort of regular feature to motivate me, or feedback from my dear readers to let me know that someone indeed does care (but of course nobody’s reading this anyway)

woke up dreaming of <h2>s and css and textile again. this really has to stop. i mean I like what i do, but i don’t want to do it in my sleep.

oh, and i’m going to make an effort for all of my subjects to be a song title, band name, or album name from now on. just because i’m a dork
